Radiodetection SuperCAT4+ CPS Locator

Description

The SuperCAT4+ range of locators and transmitters uses a selection of passive, sonde and active frequencies designed to target specific buried assets. Using Radiodetection’s familiar CAT controls and display, minimal retraining is required to access these advanced capabilities.

The Radiodetection SuperCAT4+ CPS Locator is one of three utility-specific locating tools each supported by enhanced features, improved safety practices and all part of an extremely impressive range from Radiodetection. The Cathodic Protection System (CPS) built-into this model can locate a rectified signal without the need of attaching an additional transmitter. This is ideal for discovering oil and gas pipelines, with the high sensitivity and selectivity of the SuperCAT4+ CPS delivering accurate locations even in typically electrically noisy environments.

For oil and gas pipes using a Cathodic Protection System, the CPS model can locate the rectified signal without needing an additional transmitter.

This model of locator is optimized to detect CPS signals, tracing protected pipelines without disconnecting rectifiers, however there are other detection modes included:

• CPS Mode – it detects the signal radiated by a Cathodic Protection System (CPS)
• Radio Mode – It detects long-range radio signals as they are re-radiated along buried metallic cables and pipes.
• Power Mode (50Hz /60Hz) – it detects the electromagnetic fields generated by loaded power cables.
• Active Line Mode (when using external T1 Transmitter) – it detects the T1 signals which are radiated by buried utilities.
